Udupi: Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamijii of Shiroor Math, who said that he is anticipating a ticket from BJP to battle the upcoming elections, attested that regardless of whether he neglects to get the ticket, he would enter the shred as a an independent candidate with the help of his supporters.
Swamiji addressed the media people subsequent to offering puja at Vadabhandeshwara Balarama temple at Malpe on Sunday April 8. He said he had offered prayers to Lord Balarama trying to spread awareness among voters and invoke divine grace to expand voter turnout to 100 percent. Taking note of that BJP had not finalized applicants a significant number of its constituency in the state. He also said he was waiting to get ticket from BJP.

The Swamiji said that for anything, God’s grace is the highest necessity. About the assessment of Pejavar Math Swamiji about his political move, he said that Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji is his guide and Guru and that he respects whatever the Swamiji says as he regards him as his elder brother.
JD(U) region president, Rajeev Kotian, said that he has been in consistent touch with Shiroor Swamiji and that he had offered to handle him as candidate from his party. He however communicated dissatisfaction at the Swamiji’s choice to battle as independent candidate if he doesn’t get BJP ticket. He however said he will in any case work for the Swamiji’s victory in the upcoming elections.
