Mangaluru : In the heavy and torrential rains of August this year, Mandara was flooded by garbage from the nearby Pachanady dumping yard. Seeing the distress caused to the people of Mandara we sent out teachers to instill confidence and courage in the villagers. We also assured them of our best monetary assistance to them at that time.
Accordingly, we have identified 26 such affected families and today we Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation, Mangalore, are handing over to them a total relief fund cheque of Rs 4,00,000 Meanwhile, we urge the government to lend them more assistance.
In this function to hand over the relief fund the Chairman of Expert Group Institutions, Prof, Narendra L Nayak, its Vice Chairperson Dr.Ushaprabha N. Nayak, the Principal of its Kodialbail college, Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, the Principal of Expert College, Valachil Dr. N K Vijayan, the Vice Principal Prof. Raghavendra Shenoy, the architect Ms.Deepika A Nayak, the Head of Kannada dept, Prof Karunakar Balkur were present.
