Udupi:  A panel of experts on Thermal Power damage caused by UPCL that created widespread air pollution due ton fly-ash in villages surrounding the 500 MW plant with 2 units, has submitted its report to Pejawar Mutt seer who appointed it.

Swamiji was pleased to hand over this scientific report to CM. DV Sadananda Gowda, and directed the CM to pass orders according to the merit of enquiry report, submitted by experts after their damage study.

Vishwesha Tirtha also released copies of this report at Udupi Math to press persons on Wednesday, May 2. The report is said to have given its full support to the efforts of Swamiji on the power production issue.

A team of 6 scientists was appointed under Y.B. Ramakrishna’s guidance. The report confirmed huge damage to environment in the surrounding Villages of Nandikur UPCL had rejected an earlier report as unscientific, but now it will have to toe the line of reason with CM.
