Kasargod : Tension prevails in Kumble following the Facebook comment making derogatory remarks on Prophet Mohammad. On July 21, Sunday several incidents of stoning were reported. A temple at Kumble was stoned as well as three shops in Kasargod. Even some buses suspended services.

Meanwhile police have clamped  prohibitory orders under Section 144 in Kasargod and Hosadurga taluks for one week. Police have also banned movement of two-wheelers between 6 pm and 6 am for a week.

One person named Arun Kumar has also been arrested for the derogatory Facebook comment.

Earlier on Saturday  a huge protest was staged in front of Kumble police station demanding arrest of culprits in the case.

It is learnt on Sunday even the Muhimmat Community Hall has been stoned by some miscreants.

Tight security has been maintained to prevent untoward incidents.
