Mangaluru : A product manager at Manipal Hospital, Nishan who completed his engineering and MBA studies at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil and SDM College of Management, Mangaluru respectively, already hosts ‘Health Vibes’, a health awareness Facebook live chat show for his employers, regularly. This show incidentally has already completed more than 40 episodes and clocked 20 lakh views of Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru Facebook page.

Happy to find entries in two record books, Nishan said he had lined up super specialists from nearly 30 departments of Manipal Hospital for the FB live discussion that started at 7.30am and ended at 5.30pm. “It was an impromptu chat show with no written script,” Nishan says adding that the show attracted 8-lakh views. “This interview available on the FB page of Manipal Hospital has been considered a new category of record on social media platform,” he says.

The FB video chat live facility introduced by Facebook last year helped Nishan with his task. “The authorities of Asia and India Book of Records while appreciative of the hospital’s role in this new record also considered my 10-hour effort to set up a new entry in their record books,” he says adding that the next effort is to get Limca Book of Records and Guinness Book to do so. “The documentation process of this next logical step of recognition is underway,” he says.

If the July 20 event was all about creating awareness about symptoms related to various chronic diseases such as heart attacks, liver transplant, high blood pressure, Nishan says he has planned something similar and possibly bigger for the future. Thankful for freelance speaking, personality development skills instilled in him by his brother Dr Nithin, Nishan while keeping the details under wraps assets this upcoming initiative too will help the society around him.
