Mangalore : State Congress SC/ST Cell president Manjunath said that the congress has started the campaign ‘Congress Nadige Janara Balige’ from today in every block and will be successful in it.

Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on August 16, Tuesday said that Congress has strong base in Mangalore. The congress leaders like Oscar Fernandes and many other hails from Mangalore.

Congress has the reputation of working for the development of rural villages.

He also said that the cell will support the SC/ST people who have been harassed by the upper caste and other parties. He urged the government to work for the development of backward caste.

Regarding the fake caste certificate, he said that the SC minorities Commission president has taken the issue and will verify and cancel the fake certificates and take stringent action against the authority who issued it.

He also said that, the cell will also hold the State level convention in the second week of September in Bangalore involving all the block presidents.

The present government has no respect and interest in constitution, legislature and judiciary too and they also proved it.

Congress members like PV Mohan, Ivan D’Souza, Mamatha Gatty, Padmanabha Naringa, MLA UT Khader, Shahul Hameed and others were present.
