Bantwal: A man died in shootout at Nekkarakadu, Vittal on Friday night.

Indresh (55) has been identified as the deceased person.

It is reported that the family dispute might be the reason for the shootout. It is suspected that deceased’s son Chandrahas might have killed his father or Indresh might have killed himself after shooting his son.

Locals are saying that everyday father and son used to quarrel on each other. On Friday when Chandrahas’s mother went to neighbour’s home the incident took place.

Chandrahas has been injured in the incident and his hand has been hurt. He has been admitted to the hospital.

Vittal police have registered a case and investigating.
