Kasargod: A reversing truck fell on the car as the result father, son were critically injured while they were travelling at Kolari, Mavinakatte near Badiadka on Monday.

The victims have been identified as Mohammad Kunhi Haji (72) and his son Muneer (32) from Badiadka.

The truck which was carrying borewell drilling machinery had reached Mavinakatte near here and was taking a reverse on the narrow road, the car which was behind had halted. However suddenly the vehicle went out of control of the driver and fell over the car.

As the two were trapped inside, the fire brigade personnel used a crane to bring them out of the car.

The two were soon rushed to a hospital nearby.
