Bangalore : K Vasanth Bangera, MLA of Belthangady was literally emotional when he vowed in the assembly that he felt let down by the present political scenario of dirty politics and has decided not to contest elections henceforth.
Participating in a debate on the Mangalore homestay attack, he said there is nothing called police machinery in the DK district and that women and children were feeling insecure. He said “Kalladka Bhat himself was the police chief here and that everything took place as per his dictat.”
He also said the Bhajrangdal workers moved around with weapons during night time. Bangera also said he would not withdraw any of his statement and that he would be punished by Lord Manjunatha of Dharmasthala in case he had said anything false.
However, the mention of Kalladka Bhat’s name by Bangera invited the ire of Yedduyurappa who wanted the speaker to remove statement from the records.
