Mangalore: A Kannada film ‘Koormavatara’ will be screened at the Sharada Vidyalaya on March 30, Saturday under the aegis of Karavali Bellimandala Film Society, Mangalore. The film is based on a novel with the same name by Kum Veerabhadrappa. The film is directed by Girish Kasaravalli. The show will be screened free of cost at 5.30 p.m. in the Dhyana Mandir at Sharada Vidyalaya on Saturday.
This was informed by Vijaykumar Kodialbail, President of the Society to reporters here on March 26, Wednesday. He said Koormavatara which was released in 2011 had won a National Award and two international awards. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada for the year 2012. It is the only Kannada film to be selected for five international film festivals, he said.
