Bengaluru : The second day of the finals of Mrs India-Karnataka had a special sports themed photo shoot for the contestants showcasing both Indian and popular western games like Lagori, Kho Kho, Gilli Danda, FootBall, Cricket, Lawn Tennis, BasketBall, Table Tennis, and tug of war etc. This was followed by grooming and choreography sessions while the evening was dedicated to a special Indian attire photo shoot followed by a sub-title crowning ceremony.
The main finals will be held on August 11 which includes three rounds for contestants; where the contestants can choose any character based on culture, theme or message based attire. The second round will be a Hawiian themed round costume given by Saasy Eleganza designer Shandhya and final is the western gown round.
The contestants representing different districts of Karnataka will be crowned as respective district winners before final 25 contestants from all three age groups qualify for the final questions answer round which will be followed by a main crowning ceremony. Several videos were done including a special one-“I am a Woman” where the contestant speaks both about her positive and negative aspects.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs India-Karnataka organiser Ms Pratibha Saunshimath (Mrs Asia International & Mrs India 2015; organiser & Director Mrs India-Karnataka & regional director Mrs India) said the event Mrs India-Karnataka was the only beauty pageant that celebrates beauty in diversity. “Every woman is beautiful and should feel beautiful about herself irrespective of her height, weight, age or colour. Our pageant aims at bringing out the talented and beautiful women of Karnataka, to the forefront”, said Mrs. Saunshimath who was the first Kannadiga married woman to hold an international beauty title. She said that she was organising the event to bring more women from various backgrounds to the limelight.
