Mangalore : K Nagesh (58) passed away on duty on December 10 Tuesday . At the time of death he was working as Inspector of Mangalore Kadri fire brigade station and was due to retire, after 33 years of devoted service. He leaves a wife, a son and a daughter. Prominent persons in city paid their last respect to his body at his residence in Kumpala.

He served as assistant station inspector in Mangalore, Kundapur, Karkal, Sullia, Naragunda and Kadri fire stations.

Earlier, he had joined Karnataka fire and emergency services department in Udupi and got promoted as chief fireman.
