Mangaluru : A fire mishap occurred in the laboratory of a Hira Women’s  Composite college at Babbukatte, Permannur near Thokkottu on July 19, Monday,  while SSLC examination was underway in an adjacent room.

Teachers immediately shifted the students to a nearby building and ensured that the examination was not interrupted.

As soon as smoke engulfed the examination hall, the teachers took immediate steps to shift the students to a nearby building.

The fire service personnel from Ullal rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.
