Mangalore : The first batch of Hajj pilgrims, have returned back to their home after undertaking a pilgrimage on October 11, Friday evening.
A total of 128 pilgrims, who had started their journey on August 27 from the coastal region landed today at the Mangalore International Airport in a special flight at around 2.50 pm.
MLA B A Mohideen Bava, Mangalore Hajj Management Committee President Y Muhammad Kunhi, Mangalore Airport Director J T Radhakrishnan, C Mahmoud Haji, Puthubava Haji, Haji Aboobakar, Haji Basheer, Haji CH Ullal, Usman Haji and others welcomed the pilgrims at the Airport.
One of the pilgrims, Abdullah said that although pilgrims faced difficulties during the pilgrimage, they had safe and enjoyable journey. The authorities had immediately handed over the Zam Zam water cans which had arrived at the Airport before the pilgrims.
