Medina: The first batch of Huj pilgrims from India has reached Medina, Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Saudi higher officials and civilians welcomed the Huj pilgrims with great honour. Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) volunteers also joined hands to welcome the pilgrims.
Minister of state for external affairs, Gen V K Singh said that it is a unforgettable day for all the pilgrims. I wish all the pilgrims all the best and may they perform their rituals with utter devotion.
Huj pilgrim Ahtasham Ali said that all the pilgrims are very much happy to reach Medina. Pilgrims will perform ‘Umrah’ here at Medina for next eight days before leaving to Mecca.
Total of 340 Huj pilgrims have arrived from Delhi. The pilgrims were welcomed by the KCF Medina Zonal President Farook Saralikatte, Tajuddhin Sullia and other volunteers.
