Mangalore : The Ullal police have busted the case of murder of Vinayak , a security guard and fish mill operator at Kotepura near Ullal, with the arrest of two persons in connection with the murder. Incidentally, of the two arrested, one was a friend of the deceased.
The arrested are Kabeer alias Chota Kabir of Kotepura and Mannan alias Munaf of Ullal Alekala. The two reportedly hit Vinayak hard with a fish mill weapon, resulting in the latter’s death.
It is learnt, Kabeer was responsible for the theft of some spare parts of machine in the Indian Fish Mill at Kotepura, reported a few days ago. Vinayak knew this, but did not divulge the name of Kabeer with the police, who had enquired him just because Kabeer was his friend. However, the issue had led to a fracas between Vinayak and Kabeer earlier that day and Kabeer had eventually plotted to kill Vinayak with the help of his friend Munaf.
Though the two after killing had dumped the body in a gunny bag and placed it in a lane, they had planned to dispose the body in the sea next day, but could not as they woke up late next morning, turning all their plans upside down.
Investigations are under progress.
