Udupi: One fisherman died after a fishing boat sank at Malpe coastal area on Tuesday morning.
The deceased person is identified as Annayya (50).

10 fishermen had driven their boat to the sea for fishing I the morning. When they were reached two kilometers away from the coast, due to bad weather boat started to sink near Badanidiyuru. Nine out of ten managed to survive in the incident by swimming, but Annayya lost his life.

The body of Annayya has been retrieved and taken to the hospital.

A case has been registered in Malpe.
