Udupi: A fishermen identified as Mahalinga Kunder (46) of Badanidiyoor village met a watery grave while fishing in the St Mary’s Island at Malpe.

It is learnt, he had gone for fishing along with three others namely Shanker, Ashok and Murali and fell into the river while drawing the net. It is learnt, his head hit into the edge of the boat before he fell into the water.

He breathed his last, though he was immediately lifted and admitted to the hospital
