Mangaluru : A fishing boat reportedly drifted away from its position at the Old Port to reach the estuary mouth, after a rope tethered to the quay got loose. Latest

Coastal Security Police said the incident has caused no loss of life, but the boat has been damaged. The loss is yet to be estimated, an officer said.

However, it is suspected that miscreants under the influence of ganja may have loosened the rope tethered to the quay. Police have assured to look into this case, even as attempts are being made to bring the boat back to the Old Port with the help of other boats.
