Mangalore: The T. C. Friends organized a mass marriage ceremony for five couples in Zeenth Baksh Yatheem Khana at Bibi Alabi Road in Bunder on Feb 16 Thursday.

Al Haj Twaka Ahmed Musliar, the qazi of Mangalore solemnized the nikah.

Former MLC and the Muslim Central Committee of DK and Udupi, K. S. Mohammed Masood inaugurated the event and Haji Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, the chairman of Jumma Masjid, presided over the ceremony.

S. N. Rashid Haji, the treasure of the Jumma Masjid; Bava Ahmed Haji, the proprietor of the Goa Harris Fisheries; Moosa Moideen Haji, the proprietor of Steel Centre; A. K. Riyaz Bava, the khatib of the Bunder Jumma Masjid; Basha Tangal and Mohammed Hanif Haji, the trustees of the Jumma Masjid; Asasul Islam Masjid Imam Bahu Haji Sali Ustad; D. M. Aslam, the president of the DK Football Association; and Abdul Hameed Haji, the president of the Asasul Islam Masjid were the chief guests.

Mangalore police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh was felicitated on this occasion.

Yahya Tangal, the vice president of T. C. Friends, welcomed the gathering. B. Abdul Salam read the annual report, and Ibrahim Shoaib delivered the vote of thanks.

Abdul Salam Haji, the president of T. C. Friends, Secretary Naushad, Treasurer Basheer, and members of the committee were also present.
