Udupi : A day after rowdy-sheeter Kishan Hegde murder, the police arrested five persons, informed Udupi superintendent of police Vishnuvardhan on Saturday, September 26.
The arrested are Manoj Kulal (37), Chittaranjan Poojary (27), Chethan yane Chethu Padil (27), Ramesh Poojary (38), and Deekshith Shetty yane Devi Prasad (29).
Three cars have been seized by them which were used for the crime. The murder took place due to personal rivalry and financial matters between Manoj and Kishan Hegde.
All the arrested are rowdy-sheeters and cases have been filed upon them at various police stations.
The accused revealed that, they had chased Kishan Hegde from Mangaluru.
All five accused were produced before the session court judge in the evening.
We are investigating the case in all possible angles. There are more accused in the case and will be arrested soon, “Kishan Hegde was also a real estate businessman by profession. he said.
The four teams with Additional SP Udupi Kumarachandra, ASP Jai Shankar, DSP Ananthapadhmanabh, Circle inspector Brahmavar ASI’s Krishnappa, HC Vasu, Vasu Poojary, Manjunath, SI Manipal Manjappa, circle inspector DCIB Mahesh Prasad, circle inspector Kaup and other police personnel were in the operation.
