Bangalore: Eric Ozario of Maand Sobhann, Na. D’Souza(Nobert)-a novelist in Kannada, and Lancy Mascarenhas, an entrepreneur, have been chosen for 7th annual awards of Federation of Konkani Catholic Association(FKCA) at Bangalore to be given on Sunday, January 29 at St. Joseph’s Indian High School grounds, in the presence of CM Sadananda Gowda(Chief Guest), Law-minister Suresh Kumar(Guest of Honour), Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras(Archbishop of Bangalore and president at the function), Ronald Colaco, businessman NRI, and chairman, IFKCI.
A Konkani mass at 4PM will be performed by Rev. Moras, who presides at the gathering.
Eric Ozario bags Life-time Achievement award, Dr. Norbert D’Souza secures Professional Excellence as Kannada writer, and Lancy M., is named for enterepreneurship as builder of skyscrapers.
All of them have won awards in their special fields of activities. The FKCA was established in 1998, with 26 associations (Bangalore/Mysore) and 9 abroad.
