Kundapur : Kundapur is reeling under floods with incessant rains  since the past few days. Meanwhile, the Raitha Sangha  is not happy with the way in which the administration has responded to the problems of people of flood hit areas.

Excluding village accountants no other official visited the affected places. On Thursday, Deepak Kumar Shetty,  President of Udupi district unit of the Sangha visited several places in Nagappayya Holebagiluwithin Maravanthe gram panchayat and Salbuda in Navunda gram panchayat  which have been badly affected with agricultural fields inundated.

He urged the administration to provide compensation to affected farmers. He also warned that the Raitha Sangha would resort to protest if the administration did not come to the aid of the flood affected people.
