Mudabidri:  At the Mohan Alva’s degree college, competitions in singing and dancing were held on Sunday. Niranjan Swami of Sunkadakatte College and A.V. Baliga College of Brahmavar secured first prize in folk songs and dances respectively. A cash prize of Rs.2,000 with mementoes were presented to both Colleges.
The Janapada Vaibhava programme was inaugurated by Alwas Foundation Trustee Vivek Alva.
In the valedictory event, administrator Dr. Prabhakar Shetty, National Social Service (NSS) planning officer Chandrashekar Gowda, Principal Kurien, Prof. Praveen Kumar and Kannada HoD, T.G Hareesh were present on the occasion jointly organised by NSS departments of MU and Alva’s College, Kannada Sangha at Mudabidri.
