Bengaluru :  The Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department has issued a circular on Thursday to distribute food kits for priests and staff members working in ‘C’ grade temples of the department.

The order issued by Mr N Manjunath Prasad (Principal Secretary, Revenue and Muzrai departments) states that food kits will be distributed to priests working in C grade temples.

The kit can be prepared from the available food grains at the respective A and B grade temples of the district which were reserved for free meal distribution. The food kits can also be delivered to the public who are in distress. In case of shortage of food grains, then the temple funds can be utilised to supply food kits to priests and temple staff.
