Bangalore: The enquiry on denotified lands due on Wednesday September 7 in the afternoon, with former CM Yeddyurappa in attendance, is now postponed to Tuesday, September 13. Yeddyurappa attended the court along with his family members.
Yeddyurappa is the first accused in this case and faced 15 allegations such as nepotism, illegal mining illicit wealth, land grab and so on. He was accompanied to the court by minister Renukacharya and other MLAs. 13 accused were in the dock at the special court hall.
The Judge Sudheendra Rao fixed the hearing on September 13 at 3pm after ascertaining who represents lawyer Sirajin Pasha in the arguments and agreeing to C H Hanumantraya to take up the case.
Yeddyurappas lawyer Ravi Naik requested the court to hold enquiry every Saturday.
Two of the appeals from the former CM (Yeddyurappa) have been rejected by the court, seeking cancellation of FIR by LA police and to escape punishment, when he is facing criminal charges under 4 sections of IPC, including fraud.
A ten years’ prison sentence awaits the accused if charges are proved.
