Mangalore: The DK district BJP chief Padmanabha Kottari (former MLA) has confirmed today (June 25) that he had a copy of Karnataka coastal development Authority (KCDA) chairman B.Nagaraja Shetty’s (a former minister) letter of resignation to his present post Shetty is the first chairman of KCDA.
Whereas CM B.S.Yeddyurappa had asked Shetty to meet him during his visit on June 26 to Dharmasthala, Shetty has requested Kottari to relieve him from his duties today on personal (health?) reasons. Kottari has brought the matter to the notice of state BJP leaders.
Sources close to Shetty say that he has resigned from the BJP. They also say Shetty may see CM in Bangalore on request, later on.
Although Shetty rose from Sangh Pariwar, he felt hurt by the recent arrest of Bantwal BJP leader and BUDA chief A.Govinda Prabhu and some others in and assault case. But Prabhu was released same day(May 23). Perhaps Shetty was ignored by the Police on receiving a complaint B.N.Shetty has resigned in 2006 in another case in a huff.
