Mangaluru : Former MLA Moiddeen Bawa started an innovative postcard campaign demanding declaration of Tulu language as official language . The postcard campaign has been started on January 29 and ends on February 2.
The campaign was launched by posting the first letter to the Karnataka CM, Prime Minister of India, Kerala CM at HampanKatta branch in Mangalore by posting the register cards.
Former MLA Moiddeen Bawa said that through this campaign, we are going to request the government to declare Tulu language as an official language. During the next budget, we should talk to the center and issue an order to add Tulu language to the 8th section as an official language.
Not only that, many people from home and abroad have already suggested cooperation for this campaign. The people of Tulunad should cooperate to make the campaign successful and make Tulu language the official language by giving good response. He has demanded that at least 10,000 letters should be sent to the Prime Minister and 10,000 letters to the CM in the campaign which will be held till February 2.
