Mangaluru: Congress Leader and Former MLC Ivan D’Souza posted on his Facebook page has he tested positive for the coronavirus on August 1.

Ivan D’Souza had participated in the party meeting, and press meet on July 31 at the Congress Bhavan when KPCC President D K Shivakumar visited Mangaluru for the first time after becoming the president.

On August 1, Ivan D’Souza had also visited senior Congress leader Vijay Kumar Shetty along with D K Shivkumar, MLA U T Khader and a number of others.

In his Facebook message, Ivan D’Souza has stated, “Myself and my wife Dr Kavitha have been tested Corona positive. There are no symptoms, but we have voluntarily gone and given our samples and tested. There is no anxiety or concern.

Recently Ivana D’Souza, MLA UT Khadar and some other Congress leaders attended the funeral of a woman who had died of COVID infection at Bolooru crematorium and unveiled the PPE kit of the infected dead body through the Health Department staff.
