Udupi: District in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj laid foundation stone for the construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha at Bannanje on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion Minister Madhwaraj said that number of developmental works has been undertaken by him as the MLA of the constituency. Now Mini Vidhana Soudha will provide all the revenue department and taluk office related services under one roof.

“Rs 7.5 crre has been sanctioned for the construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha. I will try to get Es 2.5 crore more for the works. Previously the grant allotted was Rs 5 crore and CM Siddaramaiah changed the project by increasing the grant amount,” he said.

He further said that transparency must be maintained by the officers in the office. The state government is giving corruption free governance and the officers also should follow the same.

ADC Anuradha, Udupi CMC President Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, Vice-President Sandhya Kumari, TP President Nalini Pradeep Rao and others were present.
