Mangaluru : The police arrested four persons, who were involved in illegal transportation of cattle from Sullia Padavu to Kerala, at Padadka Junction in Ishwaramangala on Monday.

According to SP B R Ravikanthe Gowda, the arrested are Kunhanna (40) of Cherkala, Abdul Khader (53) of Bellur in Kasargod, Udaykumar (63) of Nerkaje in Kasargod and Harish Kumar (35) of Badiadka in Kasargod.

The suspects had stolen the cattle and were transporting them in a pick-up vehicle in an inhuman condition. All the arrested have been remanded in judicial custody, the police said.
