Kundapur: Four people from one family attempted suicide by consuming poison and as a result of it two children breathed their last, on Monday at Ganganadu near Byndoor.

Ashwin Kumar (16) and Aishwarya Hebbar (14) are the deceased children.

Shankaranarayana (45) and his wife Mahalakshmi (39) and their children Ashwin and Aishwarya consumed poison. Shankaranarayana and Mahalakshmi’s health condition was very critical and they are admitted in a private hospital at Kundapur.

It is learnt that family dispute is the reason behind taking this extreme step.
