Belthangady :  Four youth were arrested by the Belthangady police on charges of making an attempt to rape a 14 year old.  The four have also been accused of threatening the girl studying in class 8

The arrested are identified as Fayaz (19) from Mittabagilu, Nasir (18), Naushad (19) and Shakir (19).
The incident is learnt to have taken place on March 9 when the girl was on way home. It is said the four forced her to come along with them but, when she refused tried to take her forcibly.

The four escaped after threatening the girl, after a woman who  heard her screams, rushed to her rescue.

The matter came to light when the girl since the incident was unwilling to g to school.

Further investigations are underway.
