Ullal: The police have arrested Kasayi Ali and other three accused in Kaliya Rafik murder case. Kaliya Rafik was allegedly murdered by Kasayi Ali and other three near Kotekkar petrol pump on last Tuesday night when the victim was moving towards Mangaluru by his car. The accused, Uppala based Kasayi Ali, Ravof and Mangaluru based Padmanabha and Rasheed have been arrested by the police for further investigation.

Both Kaliya Rafik and Kasayi Ali were the gangsters in Uppala town and there were clashes between the two gangs. As a result of the clashes, Muthalib, brother of Kasayi Ali was brutally murdered by Kaliya Rafik in front of his wife. Following the murder of his brother, Kasayi Ali had been waiting for an opportunity to murder Kaliya Rafik.

Kaliya Rafik was also tortured another member of Kasayi Ali gang, Ravof for joining his gang. He was tortured by burying his body except his head in Uppala beach area recently from mid night to morning hours. The locals and police took him out of sand and admitted to the local hospital for further treatment. Following the torture, Ravof was also planned to murder Kaliya Rafik. According to the sources, Kaliya Rafik was planning to escape from Uppala to an unknown location in Maharashtra knowing Kasayi Ali was planning to murder him soon.
