Moodbidri: Four persons including a woman died of drowning after they ventured out for a swim in Shambhavi River here on Tuesday near Kadandale in Paladka gram panchayat limits.

The deceased are identified as Nikhil (18), Arshita (20) Moodushedde, Subash (19) from Venur and Ravi (30) from Bajpe Perar.

According to reports, the group had come to Paladka village to attend a wedding ceremony at Kadandale Sridhar Acharya house.
