Udupi : Four persons lost their lives  five sustained injuries in a  collision between a Tata Sumo and a lorry carrying LPG cylinders at Tenka Ermal near Padubidri on the night of October 15, Monday. The Tata Sumo was carrying pilgrims to Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur to take part in Navaratri celebrations. All of them were from Kerala.

The deceased are Shaji (43), Vijayan (52), Shanta and Jayanti N S, all from Ernakulam. The injured are Lalitha (40), Arunina (14), Nandu (11), Kannan (12) and Babu (45). They have been admitted to hospitals in Manipal and Mangalore.

The LPG truck was on way to Mangalore from Udupi.

Padubidri police are conducting the investigations.
