Mysore : The existing two-lane road from the Chamundi Hills Temple to Nandi Temple would be converted into a four-lane road at an estimated cost of Rs 19.5 crore, said District In-Charge Minister S A Ramdas.
Speaking to newspersons after a review meeting of the Muzrai Department, he said the project approval was already received from the government and the first phase work would commence soon and Rs four crores has been released for the same.
In order to ease traffic congestion to the Chamundi Hills a blue print has been prepared for separate parking place along with the shopping complex in an areas of 8.1 acres land.
The process of land acquisition began and this would help the devotees move freely.
He said that developmental and basic facilities would be provided at various temples in the district at the cost of Rs 21 crores.
He said that 100-bed hospitals at Periyapatana and H D Kote would be inaugurated during the second week of February and the necessary equipment and staff including doctors would be in place by this month end.
These hospitals would be catering to the needs of the rural patients in these two taluks.
The process of recruiting 300 doctors for the Primary Health Centers in the district, including nurses and other para medical staff, had already began, he added.
