Mangaluru : Four members of a family were found dead in their house located at Morgans Gate area on Wednesday.
A 30-year-old man is accused of killing his wife and two kids before he died by suicide.
Nagesh, who was working as a driver, was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Nagesh’s wife Vijayalakshmi (26), who was working as a security guard, daughter Sapna (8) and son Samarth (4), were reportedly poisoned to death.
The family hailed from Sunag village in Bilagi taluk in Bagalkot district and had rented the house just 15 days ago.
“Vijayalakshmi had gone missing recently after which Nagesh had filed a missing a complaint with Mangaluru south police,” said police.
Police said that the case was closed after she returned home after some days.
DCP Hariram Shankar and city commissioner N Shashi Kumar along with a team of officials went to the spot where the incident took place.
The deceased Nagesh left behind a death note in which he has mentioned family dispute and fears of conversion.
