Kasargod : In a tragic incident four members of a family including two children were found dead, inside their house at Cherupuzha in Kannur in the wee hours of August 19, Monday. Their families were found burnt and there is a suspicion that they might have commited suicide.

Those killed are Saji (42) his wife Sindhu (31), children Adhira (10) and Athulya (5). Residents of the area heard the sound of a blast from the house at around 2 am. Soon they informed police and fire brigade and the four bodies were found charred inside a room in the house. Kerosene and petrol cans too were found inside the house and it is suspected that the family had committed suicide.

It is believed that Saji a carpenter might have first killed his wife and kids by poisoning them and then set the house afire.

Kannur SP  Rahul R Nair and other police officials visited the spot. It is yet to be known if it was a suicide or an accidental fire. Investigations are underway.
