Mangaluru: In connection with armed robbery at Kateel temple chief priest Vasudev Asranna’s house, CCB and Bajpe police have nabbed four more people and seized the revolver and bullets.

Addressing the media personnel on Monday, Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar said that Bharath Shetty (30) of karkala, Mohammed Ali (35) of Bantwal, Purushottham (44) of Haleyangadi and harish Gatti (41) of Uchila are the arrested persons.

“Police have also recovered the 455 grams of gold, a revolver, one pistol, one machete, breach loading gun, twelve bullets and four mobile phones. Bharat Shetty was with Sudhindra H K while planning the robbery,” he said.

He further said that Bharat Shetty also had criminal background and he was accused of Suleiman murder case, Leo Pereira kidnap case and for possessing arms illegally a case was registered in VT police station in Mumbai.

“The plan executioners Lizo and other six are still absconding and we have the complete details of the absconded accused and soon they will be arrested,” he added.

The robbery was took place on October 4 night and so far police have arrested 9 people in connection with this case.
