Mangalore : Fr. Muller College of Homeopathy emerged as the champions of Media Manthan 2012, the 2-day national seminar organized by the mass communication department of St. Aloysius College, the valedictory ceremony of which was held in the Eric Mathias Hall of St. Aloysius College on Jan 21.

Dr. Richard Rego, the head of the department of mass communication, delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Eshwar Anand of Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication expressed his appreciation of the department of mass communication and said that the creation of an intellectual environment is essential for society building.

Fr. Francis D’Almeida, the vice president, delivered the presidential address in which he said that the objective of such events is to assist students of journalism to showcase their talents.

The event included paper presentations, competitions, and others.

The undergraduate journalism students of St. Aloysius College won the Story Board and RJ Hunt competitions, St. Agnes won the Photography competitions, and Fr. Muller won the Ice Breaker competition. Fr. Almeida, Fr. Richard Rego, and Prof. Eshwar Anand gave away prizes to the winners.
