Mangalore : The Karnataka Bank Limited inaugurated its 400th ATM at at Bejai Church complex on Aug 14, Tuesday.
Speaking at the formal stage programme at Bejai Church hall, Rev Fr Victor Machado said that if customers grow Bank grow and if Bank grows then the customers also grow. He also wished Bank to grow along with its customers.
P Jayaram Bhat, managing director of the Bank, said that further Bank aims to open another 50 ATMs by the end of this year. According to the survey conducted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Karnataka Bank is in the fourth position out of 52 banks that provides ATM facilities.
Presiding over the event Karnataka Bank chairman Ananthkrishna, said that customers must make use of this ATM facility, since Karnataka Bank is the only bank to offer it debit card with the credit line.
He also said that the operation in the Karnataka Bank ATM is very friendly and 53% of the operations are done by other card holders in the Karnataka Bank ATM and 47% of the card holders of the same bank.
The Bank has reached the turn over of Rs 65,000 this year and by 2015 it will aim to make a turn over of Rs One Lakh Crore, he said.
