Devanahalli: For not returning Rs 27000, a friend murdered his friend and later surrendered in front of the police at Vishwanathapura, Devanahalli on Sunday late night.

Manjunath (26) is the deceased person. He had lent Rs 27000 from his friend Shashikumar and hadn’t returned it within the due time. Raged by this Shashikumar be headed his friend and surrendered in front of police along with his friend’s head in hand.

After quarrelling for a long time for not returning the money, Shahikumar took Manjunath to a lonely place and murdered him using a machete.

Police sent the body to the government hospital for post mortem.

SP Amit Singh and DySP Nagaraj have visited the spot.

Later, social welfare Minister H Anjaneya visited the slain Manjunath’s family and promised to give a government job to his wife and urged the police to conduct a proper investigation.
