Mangaluru: At a press meet held at Bunts hostel by Sri Siddivinayaka Pratistana®, here on August 22, the media persons were addressed by Trustee of Sri Siddivinayaka Pratistana Dr Asha Jyothi Rai, who said, “ for last 13 years Ganeshotsava was celebrated. 14th Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsav, will be marked by various programmes and the celebrations will begin from August 25th and go on till August 27th.
The Idol of Sri Siddi Vinayaka will be brought in a procession from Radhakrishna Mandir near Sri Sharavu Mahaganapati Temple which will start on August 24, at 5:00 pm, and reach Omkar Nagar. Flag hoisting will being A three-day Ganeshotsav programme will begin by hoisting the flag. Later various programmes will be held. On August 26 cultural programmes will be held by the students of Ramakrishna Educational Institutions.
On August 27 at 11:00 am Astothara Sahasra Narikela Mahaganayaga will be held followed by Annasantharpane at 12:30 pm. At 3:30 pm, there will be the immersion Puja followed by the inauguration of the programme of Bhajans. The procession will begin from Omkar Nagar and pass via – Bunts Hostel Circle – PVS – Dongarakeri – New Chitra Talkies – Carstreet – Sri Venkataramana Temple and the idol will be immersed into the Shree Mahammayi Temple pond.
