Mangalore : The Horticulture department in association with DK Zilla Panchayath and Siri Horticultural Association, Mangalore will organize two day colorful exhibition of fruits and flowers at Kadri Park on March 19, Saturday at 4.30 pm.
Speaking at the press meet held at Kadri Park on Mar 18, Friday Joe Pradeep D’Souza, senior assistant deputy director of Horticultural Department said that the exhibition will display the wide range of flowers and vegetables grown by the farmers.
He also said that during the show under the theme of ‘Kai Thota’ the demonstration will be shown to grow the vegetables in 5 to 10 cents.
Around 20 varieties of flowers and 100 varieties of 100 medicinal plants and even will be named after it.
Since there is a cricket fever all over the world, the world cup model placed with 8,500 colourful roses has been placed that will attract the large number of audiences. The vegetable seeds will be kept for sale and there are 25 stalls and other departmental stalls. The entry will be open to all, he said.
District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar will inaugurate the event and Deputy speaker N Yogesh Bhat will preside over the event.
The public can view it on March 19, Saturday and March 20, Sunday. Praveen of Central Horticulture department were present at the press meet.
