New Delhi : It has become almost certain that the Central Government would be effecting a hike in petrol, diesel and LPG prices  with effect from Friday.

The Union Finance Ministry has already given an excuse that it faced short of funds to offer subsidy to oil companies forcing the companies to hike  fuel and LPG prices.

The Centre has plans to hike the prices from Friday midnight as the parliament session which is rocked by the coal scam would conclude on Friday.
