Udupi: Hejamady toll gate in Udupi has been fully modified and the drivers need not to wait for more time to pay the toll. There are 14 gates to pay the toll, seven for arrival and seven for departure.

Navyug Company officials have said that if the driver has proper change then he can pay the toll in just ten seconds.

Security, medical facility, ambulance are available for any gloomy incidents. Along with this a pharmacist and a crane fecility is also available at the toll gate.

Systematic toll doors which will function properly are constructed at every gate and 30 CCTV cameras will be functioning 24 hours a day, two at each gate. Electronic toll payment can also be done. Those who have ICICI FAStag can pass through the assigned gates without stopping gthe car. FAStag system works through Radio Frequency Identification.

Officials have also said that two wheelers and rickshaw’s need not to pay the toll. They can move on through a separate lane assigned to them. Those who stay within 20 km distance can pay lesser toll as per described by the company.

Permission for collecting toll is not permitted by NHAI Yet.
