Mangalore : The members of Kadri cricketers celebrated Mosaru kudike with a difference at Kadri grounds on August 18 Monday.

As part of cultural programme, dance troupes and renowned singers from the film industry enthralled the crowd gathered in huge numbers giving a blend of culture and religion.

Mangalore city corporation mayor Mahabala Marla, Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment Ramanath Rai, Minister for Urban Development Vinay Kumar Sorake, Health and Family welfare minister U T Khader, Minister for youth services and Fisheries Abhaychandra Jain, MLC Ivan Dsouza MLA Moideen Bhava and MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the cultural programme.

Mangalore based young actor cum director Rakshith Shetty participated as the special guest on the occasion. The whole crowd tapped the toes to the songs of Ambili Menon and Sangeetha.

Dance performances by ‘BoyZone’, Pramod Alva team as well as ‘Rajgopal team’ from Bangalore entertained the audience.

Mangalore Town planning development president and MCC Corporator Ashok Kumar D K was honoured on the occasion.
Sushmitha Rao and Roopesh Shetty compered the event.

The procession of Lord Krishna accompanied by tableaux, Chende teams, Bands, Gombe filled glow to the procession. Later, the youth in groups formed a pyramid to break the Mosarukudike tied throughout the street.

Attavar Mosaru Kudike:

Attavar area celebrated the 105th annual Mosaru Kudike Utsava organized at the Arasu Mundattaya Daivasthana ground, Attavar.

A procession carrying a palanquin of deity accompanied by tableaux, chande and Nasik Band commenced from Kotichennaya Circle and concluded at Mosaru Kudike Katte.

The organizers also arranged adventure on pole, musical orchestra as a part of entertainment.
