Hubli: 74 farmers including some from Karnataka, and 6 officials (including 4 women) in the 5th batch of a 5 days 4 nights China tour, governed by Bangalore Askon Travels and guides, were taken round China, not on a programmed visit to Flowers and Fruits wholesale markets, Chinese silk Museum, and Nanking street, but no areas unknown, for shopping, a circus show, Shanghai Shopping, Boating cruise and cheap market areas, to pay extra money on unwanted journeys.

The farmers were made to spend more from their pocket and were deceived by Tour staff and guiders.

The poor farmers had to refuse to see Kungfu, instead of Great Wall as they had planned earlier. They spent Rs800 to 2000 extra, a Savadatti farmer complained.
