Bantwal: “Ganesh Chaturthi should be celebrated in peaceful manner without harming anyone’s feelings. Organisers should take care of it,” said district SP Bhushan G Borase.
He was speaking at a meeting of Ganeshothsava Committee leaders at Bantwal rural police station on Friday.
“There should not be any sort of negligence during organising the programme. Organisers should take care of short circuits or any other possible incidents. Water and sand should be kept ready to use during any accidental situation, as a precautionary measure. If any suspect able items or persons found at the event place then it should be reported to the police,” he said.
He further said that protecting the idols is the responsibility of organisers and police department will also extend their full support for the celebrations.
“Volunteers names of those who will take part in the procession should be submitted to the police well in advance. Tableaux should not be spreading any anti-communal messages. Organisers will be held responsible for any mishaps,” he added.
